What You’ll Do

In joining our team, your responsibilities will involve client-facing activities, both in pre- and post- sales capacities, as well as internal functions related to both the operational infrastructure at HighVail as well as research, training and development efforts. Your primary duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

Be a SME around Dev/Ops, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Version control and Configuration Management (CM), Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), Continuous Deployment (CD) using technologies such as Ansible, Puppet, Git, Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.

Design, Architect, Deploy, Migrate and Maintain:

  • Linux-based solutions using Open Source technologies, primarily under the Red Hat portfolio but also with other Linux and Open Source distributions, including but not limited to RHEL, RHV, Satellite.
  • Virtualization solutions including but not limited to VMware and Red Hat in the areas of Infrastructure Virtualization, Business Continuity, Operations Management, and Cloud Computing.
  • Multi-vendor server, storage and networking technologies.

Help to expand our offerings in areas outside of our current strengths, Support sales and customer opportunities in following areas:

  • Dev/Ops
  • Big Data and Analytics
  • Infrastructure Virtualization
  • Infrastructure and Service Automation, Orchestration

Programming and Automating Multivendor solutions, using open and closed source technologies.

Programming and Automating Cloud Infrastructure and Containers environment (OpenStack, OpenShift, Docker, etc.)

Support sales and customer opportunities in IT Strategy, Transition, IT Modernization, Digital Transformation and Enterprise Cloud initiatives.

Perform Consultative Services such as, Discovery/Assessments, Health Checks, Infrastructure Audits and IT Roadmaps.

Create and maintain documentation for projects, internal procedures, workshops, RFP/RFI, Business Cases, Solution Whitepapers, Methodologies and Internal Collateral.

Help to expand our offerings in areas outside of our current strengths and specifically in the areas of Cloud Computing, Automation and DevOps.

Help to manage internal HighVail business-critical and lab environments.

Achieve and/or maintain industry standard technical vendor certifications, which may include some of the following:

  • RHCSA, RHCE, RHCVA, RHCA
  • Red Hat Certificate of Expertise in Ansible Automation
  • Docker Certified Associate
  • Various Cloud Vendors Certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)

IT professionals from a variety of backgrounds who can evolve into the role of a DevOps Engineer

A master’s degree is a plus
