What You’ll Do
As part of our customer’s Infrastructure team, the Technical Specialist role is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and support of their environment.

    Responsibilities

  • Installation, configuration, maintenance and performance tuning of Linux operating system components and system software packages
  • Provide third level support for IT operations, client services and Project teams
  • Positive attitude that fosters productivity in a team setting
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong facilitation and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to “own” an issue and follow it through to resolution
  • Aptitude and openness to learning new things and working in a high growth environment
  • Experience with a configuration/deployment management tool (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt) a plus
  • Scripting and automation experience
  • Familiarity with large, complex Linux environments
    What We Are Looking For

  • 5 + years working as an engineer with Linux to include troubleshooting, tuning, upgrading, monitoring and patching
  • Technically sound but social people who are looking to collaborate with others
  • Action oriented, and comfortable taking calculated risks to better serve our customers and business
  • Outcome focused, critical thinkers with the ability to analyze and visualize, to ensure continuous improvement across our entire business
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux installation, administration, and maintenance
  • Experience in automation with Ansible, Teraform and Rundeck
  • Experience working in with CI/CD pipelines with Git, Jira, Confluences, Artifactory and Jenkins
  • Patch management with RedHat Satellite (the Foreman)
  • Experience with LDAP / AD / IDM
  • Personable, mature, time-conscious and extremely customer service/sales oriented

What You’ll Do
The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible to support our Field Sales team in achieving their sales targets. You will have direct interaction with HighVail customers and take responsibility for certain activities within our account base.

    Responsibilities

  • Answer basic technical questions for customers via phone or email.
  • Provide customers with sales quotes in a timely fashion.
  • Setup quotes, sales orders and purchase orders.
  • Register sales opportunities and apply for special pricing with vendors.
  • Track orders and follow through on customer satisfaction issues.
  • Maintain sales forecast records and produce vendor sales forecasts.
  • Manage RMA (return merchandise authorization) process for product returns, upgrades, etc.
  • Attend vendor training and achieve various sales certifications.
  • Manage relationships with procurements teams within the HighVail customer base.
  • Assist with RFP responses and proposals.
  • Work independently and as part of a team through the entire sales process.
  • Provide effective sales assistance to the Account Managers.

  • College or University education (IT/technical field preferred)
  • Business experience in a technology company (preferably a channel partner or value-added reseller/VAR)
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and/or enterprise resource planning (ERP and Accounting), preferably Microsoft Dynamics
  • Above-average MS Office skills (Excel, in particular, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), with the ability to formulate margin, profit, etc.
  • IT Inside sales experience an asset
  • Must be able to multi-task, stay organized and thrive under pressure while maintaining great attention to detail
  • Understanding of IT products an asset (Cisco, Hitachi Vantara, IBM, Red Hat, Pure Storage, NetApp, Oracle, Veritas, VMware, Dell, EMC)
  • Personable, mature, time-conscious and extremely customer service/sales-oriented

DevOps Specialist

What You’ll Do
In joining our team, your responsibilities will involve client-facing activities, both in pre- and post- sales capacities, as well as internal functions related to both the operational infrastructure at HighVail as well as research, training and development efforts. Your primary duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

Be a SME around Dev/Ops, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Version Control and Configuration Management (CM), Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), Continuous Deployment (CD) using technologies such as Ansible, Puppet, Git, Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.

    What We Are Looking For

  • Strong Unix/Linux system administration skills (minimum 3 years)
  • RHCSA/RHCE certification would be a great asset
  • Experience with RHV, IdM, and Satellite would be an asset
  • Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Ansible, Chef or an equivalent management tool used for CI/CD (minimum 1 year)
  • Experience in at least one programming language: BASH, Python, Perl, Ruby, GO, JavaScript, Swift, C#, C++, Scala, etc. (minimum 1 year)
  • Ability to provide input into solution design, development, build & deployment management and operation processes, and help to automate and streamline our customer needs
  • Experience with version control systems such as Bitbucket/Git, TFS and other CI/CD tools e.g. Rundeck, Jenkins, Terraform, Kitchen, Packer, Vagrant, etc.
  • Experience working in customer facing roles with capability working at a customer site
    Great To Have

  • Knowledge in containers such as Docker, Kubernetes, Swarm, Openshift
  • Knowledge in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud
